- This HR Specialist position is responsible for assisting the HR Manger with all facets of the Human Resources function across the business from both an administration and operational perspective. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment and selection, employee onboarding, remuneration and benefits, reporting, work health and safety (WHS), health and wellbeing initiatives, performance management and general HR administration.
- The role also ensures compliance with company policies and legislation, supports work health and safety initiatives, and assists with remuneration and payroll processes (this role is NOT responsible for payroll however).
- In addition, the position is responsible for managing workers’ compensation claims (though very few), developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures, and administering the performance management system, including incentive and salary review calculations.
- The role will coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities in consultation with the HR Manager and help draft job ads, provide candidate communication throughout the recruitment process, reference checks, pre-employment requirements (eg. police checks).
- You will maintain and update HR files and prepare employment contracts and facilitate completion of new starter documentation while coordinating and managing employee onboarding, ensuring completion with hiring managers.
- You will liaise with new and current employees regarding company information and employment-related queries and coordinate new hire setup with IT and hiring managers, including orientation scheduling.
- You will maintain confidential personnel files, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance and maintain employee records in Workday, ensuring data integrity and timely updates while administering and managing Workday employee data.
- You will coordinate HR related documentation including contracts, variation letters, performance documentation, KPI reports, and correspondence and manage probation review processes, prepare HR reports and administer LinkedIn Learning.
- You will prepare salary reviews, incentive calculation workbooks and mail merger for remuneration outcomes.
- University qualifications in HR or business preferred, though not mandatory.
- Experience in a similar role in HR operations, supporting HR leader(s), with a very good work ethic and attitude, prepared to do what it takes to work your way up to a leadership role.
- You MUST have strong Workday current or recent experience and be highly computer literate with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and have also worked with Pivot tables.
- Experience with end to end recruitment and the whole employee lifecycle.
- Be very solid in relation to numbers and analysing data and presenting that data/knowing where to get data from, running reports for management of salaries, incentives, etc.
- If you have experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device sectors, this will be highly regarded.
- Australian work experience with full Australian working rights.
